Press Release May 09, 2022 A Memorandum of Understanding on Business Cooperation with SPN for promoting DX solutions with 5G for Commercial Facilities ~ Utilizing AI Camera for behavior analysis and DX security measure ~
KDDI Vietnam, an overseas subsidiary of KDDI Corporation, and Southern Star Telecommunication Equipment Joint Stock Company (hereinafter referred to as “SPN”), an overseas subsidiary of JTOWER Inc.(2) , which deploys IBS business(1) in Vietnam (Headquarter: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; General Director: Mr. Nguyen Dac Lam) had concluded a Memorandum of Understanding on Business cooperation regarding provision of Digital Transformation (DX) services and in-building solutions utilizing 5G technology for commercial facilities in Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as “MOU”) on 1st May 2022.
By signing the MOU, KDDI Vietnam shall not only provide DX solutions utilizing 5G and IoT technology to the commercial facilities such as department stores, shopping malls, commercial complex, hotels, event venues etc. but also apply AI camera for security measures and Customer’s behavior analysis.
Furthermore, KDDI Vietnam aims to improve Customer’s experience by developing entertainment-related content such as projection mapping, live stream, and metaverse that customers can enjoy on their smartphones when visiting these locations.

KDDI Group will continue to strengthen its efforts for DX solutions that utilize 5G and IoT technology in Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries.

SPN is a JTOWER group company, in Vietnam, providing IBS business and fixed-line infrastructure by installing indoor shared equipment and facilities to strengthen the quality of wireless signals, assure smooth wireless communication.
(1) IBS (In-Building Solution): A solution to provide indoor coverage using a series of Hubs/Equipments distributing the signal to number of antennas.
