There continue to be an increasing number of expansions into Southeast Asia by Japanese manufacturers, but various problems for them have arisen such as higher labor costs, workers leaving their jobs, lower production, increased employee management load, and increased security risks. KDDI’s local subsidiaries in Southeast Asian countries are working to help customers with these issues, thereby allowing them to focus on their primary businesses, through increased business efficiency achieved through IoT and RPA solutions.

At the seminars, KDDI introduced its IoT Global Platform, as well as its IoT solutions including “Factory IoT + AI Analysis” and “ConMas i-Reporter”. Demonstrations using real equipment were performed, and a Touch and Try was held with the participants.

The solutions introduced were as follows:

  • Factory IoT + AI Analysis: Visualization of equipment status and prediction of equipment failures through the use of sensors, cloud technology and AI
  • ConMas i-Reporter: On-site workers use iPads to input data, creating electronic forms and enabling a transfer from paper records.
  • MotionBoard: Combine, analyze and visually see collected data through a BI dashboard
  • KDDI Cloud Inventory: A cloud-based endpoint central management tool that enables detecting and blocking unauthorized IoT device connections
  • UiPath (RPA): Visualize and automate routine work done on PCs
  • Analog meter image analysis solution: Digitize equipmen tanalog meter readings using IP cameras with image recognition technology
  • Beacon solution: Locational management of employees and important equipment using beacon tags
  • Mat sensors: Real-time inventory/weight management using smart electronic scales
  • LoRa-WAN solution: Visualize sensor data for areas without electricity or wireless access
